Two Intercom Connections - Two intercom connections allow you to stay connected to everyone on board. It allows you to toggle between IC1 and IC2. When connected to the optional MLS-300i you now have intercom communication at its best. Four Fog Horns, Bells and Whistles - Be heard! Four foghorn options allow automatic foghorn operation. The waterproof device is built around a high-quality speaker and a durable microphone, with an intuitive 14-key front-panel layout and an easy-to-read display rounding out the physical features. The functionality, meanwhile, stems from the quartet of foghorn options and the variety of available bells, whistles, horns, and sirens, giving users access to a sound for virtually every navigational situation. Want to transmit a voice message to other boats through the PA? Not a problem. Owners have two mounting choices: a bracket mount (the unit comes with brackets and knobs), or an optional bulkhead flush mount that requires a separately sold MMB-84 kit. Once installed, users can choose to transmit out of either the forward or aft output--depending on where other boats are located--or they can transmit out of both simultaneously for wider foghorn coverage. In addition, the VLH-3000 can function as an intercom when connected to optional intercom speakers (such as the MLS-300is), with a pair of intercom connections allowing two-way communication between the bridge and one or all intercom stations. To toggle between the connections, simply use the dedicated IC1 and IC2 buttons. Other details include a sleek chassis that's designed to complement other Standard Horizon products, an external speaker output that boosts the audio performance, and an auxiliary audio output for routing music from a CD player or radio through the intercom speakers and external horns.
