Summary: Very accurate and easy to use Comment: I used a golf gps product from intelligolf , it required too much input and constant fiddling during a round so you ended up not playing well. It was important to me to find a gps unit that didn't require any input or fiddling with during a round . The Logix is it !! First time on the course I just turned it on it aquired the satellites in a couple of minutes and just started working perfectly on the first hole , it automatically sequenced to the next hole just like the commercial says. It is highly accurate also. I highly recommend this product . Buy this one and save $ over the 2008 model.

Summary: It is great! Comment: I love the Garmin Golflogix. I always know the distance to a hazard, end of fairway as well as three parts of the green.
My fellow golfers snickered at first, now they all want to know the proper distance.
It definitely has helped my game.

Summary: Garmin Golflogix GPS A+++++++++ Comment: Great product works flawlessly and is very easy to use. Several of my friends have the skycaddie GPS and they love my unit because it supplies much more info on our courses than the skycaddie. Best purchase I have made on Amazon yet. Thanks Golflogix for helping my Golf Game. A++++++++

Summary: What a BIG Help Comment: I used the unit for 4 rounds of golf on 4 different courses. The unit worked great on all 4 courses. It is a very sturdy and a high quality product. I occasionally checked yardages against the course markers and they were almost exact. In the rain, you don't need to scramble for a dry area for the unit, you let your Golflogix sit there and get wet.
The Golflogix unit is even helpful on par 3s. Flags are moved around the green from time to time, and so are the tees on the tee box due to divots, sometimes varying more than 10 yards from their normal position. Combine a tee move with a pin move, and you'll be using different irons on that same hole on each trip to the course. With the Golflogix unit, you'll know what iron to use every time. It is extremely helpful on wayward shots. My buddy hit his second shot on top of a hill behind a barn and trees. Couldn't see the pin, nor tell how far he was. I got a reading of 132, and he had no problem hitting over the barn and trees to the green.
Another plus is that it doesn't have a built-in rechargeable battery, which typically doesn't have a long life before it begins to fail to hold a charge. The competitor's units charge $50 for a replacement battery, and then you have to wait for the replacement to be shipped. With Golflogix, you can use your own rechargeable batteries which can be recharged 500+ times, and/or use standard alkaline AA batteries, and carry backups. My rechargeables last only about 10 hours, but I have 2 sets and I'll rotate freshly charged batteries every 2 rounds. The unit kept shutting off during my third round, and at first I thought it was a malfunction. When I turned the unit back on, it displayed "batteries not charged". Fresh batteries fixed the problem.
The software, I found, was easy to use. You have to download all 10 of your courses when you want to change just one or two on the unit, but it saves your last 10 downloaded choices on your PC, so all you have to do is unselect the one or two you want off your unit, select the one or two others you want on, and reload. The other 8 or 9 are back on the unit without having to select them all over again. It took me 37 seconds to download 10 courses. This works great for me, because I play 3 or 4 courses on a regular basis and on a moment's notice, and 1 course per week out of 40+ others I like. And I only have to select from the 45+ courses I downloaded to my PC, making it very easy to find the courses I need to add. No need to narrow searches down to find each course.
I noticed that 4 of my 45+ courses I play were not mapped. So I requested two at a time to be mapped. The support team responded quickly (within a few days to a week or so), so those will be ready to go when I play them sometime this year. When requesting a mapping, it helps to provide them a course website with the scorecard on it, otherwise you may have to provide yardages via email from your own scorecard, or snailmail them a scorecard.
As with anything, nothing is perfect, so I have to write something negative about the product. The only problems I found were minor for me. The belt clip is pretty much useless, because it's not secure and I don't want to lose the unit, so it stays at home. I ride most of the time anyway, so I leave the unit in the cupholder where it maintains a clear view of the sky. When walking, I place the unit in a tight club slot in my bag. Up and down hills, bumps, it stays secure. I only lost signal once at the first tee on one course, but I think that occurred because the tee box is very narrow and heavily wooded (tall pines on both sides and to the back of the tee box), so the unit didn't have enough sky to work with. Once I got off the tee box, the signal was restored. The device is designed to automatically advance to the next hole, which works great. Of course, it can't tell that I missed my approach shot to the green to the left, next to the tee box on the next hole, so I got a reading to the next fairway. Not a real problem, I just had to press a button to go back one hole to get a reading for the green that I'm shooting at.
All said, the unit is well worth the money and works as advertised. I am very happy with the purchase.
