Summary: Works Very Well
Comment: I purchased the Golflogix GPS instead of the more popular SkyCaddie because the Golflogix is made by Garmin. Obviously, Garmin knows GPS. The unit is actually a re-packaged Garmin eTrex. It is very solid and sturdy. When I bought it I found that three of the courses that I play were not mapped. I requested them and in one week they were available. Fantastic. I have also submitted questions via email and have been answered promptly. The unit is small and easy to use. It will increment holes automatically when I walk to the next hole. Most of the time I do not need to press any buttons. I would definitely recommend Golflogix.

Summary: Golflogix GPS
Comment: I have used this item for several rounds of golf. It is very easy to use. Seems much easier to work than the Skycaddie. They both will give you the same information but this one is easier to read and operate. The customer service at Golflogix is tops also.

Summary: GolfLogix GPS
Comment: I recieved my GolfLogix GPS a week ago and took it to our local course to give it a try. My friends had a "SkyCaddie" and I wanted a Garmin product as I also have a Garmin Street Pilot 330c GPS. I was extremely disappointed in the Golflogix as it was really giving strange readings that were way off. I finally shut it off and went ahead and finished my golf game. I went home aroung 5:30pm and e-mailed GolfLogix and told them what had happened. To make a long story short I recieved an e-mail within 2 hours as to what had happened. They explained that some changes on the golf course had been made since they had mapped it. Well in that span of 2 hours they had remapped it and published it. I re-loaded the update and tried it out last night. It worked great, very accurate, couldn't ask for anything to work better than it did. I have e-mailed GolfLogig 3 other times and their response was always answered well and fast. WAY TO GO GolfLogix, very refreshing for that kind of service in this day and age.

Summary: Garmin is still the greatest
Comment: I bought my Garmin GPS last year. It has been a wonderful help in all the traveling I do. Last week I bought a Golflogix on Amazon and used it on Thursday. I played in a foursome with a man who had a sky caddi. we went toe to toe on the front nine comparing yardages. There was never more than 3 yards + or - differance. Then his battery went dead with no way to recharge. Advantage GolfLogix. Also unlimited downloads for $29.00 in the United States is great. Again advantage Golflogix. Finally, the price. The cheapest I found a new Sky Caddie was $259.00 plus handling. It looked like the cheaper version(less features I guess). I payed $180.00 including handling. The drawbacks are no shoing of the shape of the green, however the coures I play I am either familiar withe the green shape or the score card shows the shape. It also does not have last shot rememberance, but I understand that a new model is coming out that will have that feature and other features such a holding up to 20 courses. Also software up dates will be available to those who have the older models. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Summary: Works Great
Comment: Have had mine for about 6 weeks. Brought it from Amazon at a great price. It has worked flawlessly. It is easy on standard AA batteries. As others have mentioned, Garmin knows GPS and this is a standard Garmin device with Golf software loaded on it. It is durable, accurate, and great to use. If there's a dogleg on the hole, it tells you how far to the dogleg. If there's a hazard, it tells you how far to the front of the hazard and how far to the other side. If there's a tree in the fairway, it tells you how far it is to the tree. It tells you the distances to the front, center, and back of each green. Displays are intuitive and scrolling is very user friendly. I am completely satisfied.
It's now September (bought it in Feb) and I wanted to confirm that this has been a great product. I have no complaints.
