Comment: Love this product. Upgraded from a Garmin Venture Cx. This GPSr does not drop a sat signal and the digital compass is a great feature. It points to the POI (cache) while standing still. Couldn't be more positive about this GPSr.

Summary: Great GPS
Comment: I had a GPS before and I was often disappointed with it. It had an external antenna and always had problems getting a signal. Also it had a poor POI database. The Garmin Vista is awesome it has not ceased to amaze me. I do wish that Garmin included city nav with it because without the extra maps it is useless. But i use it driving geocashing and hiking with topo 2008 and national parks east 24K.

Summary: Very Good Upgrade from eMap
Comment: Pros:
Excellent satellite reception, many, many nice, customizable features, long battery life. "Tracks" is one of my favorite features of the GPS, where you can download to the PC, a second by second record of your movements. And contrary to other reviews, it seems the Map Setup now does allow setting the Tracks feature up to 10,000 points (based on your SD Chip capacity ?). Works with MetroGuide North America v6.0 (which I already had). I have all of North America easily on a 2Gb chip (1.1 GB). Built-in Routing is limited, but works. Not bad for a little pocket device.

Cons:
USB interface to PC seems awfully slow when transferring the maps. Display is bright, customizable and well laid out, but small. First unit I got locked up intermittently. Returned it and the 2nd unit is working perfectly.

Summary: LOVE this!!
Comment: LOVE this toy!! I got this for my husband as a Father's Day gift for hunting/fishing, and he takes this everywhere. I told him he'd better hang on tight, cuz his wife might steal it. :) Very cool!! Amazon.com came through for me in getting it in time for Father's Day. I got the trial Prime account free for a month, and I ended up paying less than $4 for next day service, love that!! Before you buy it elsewhere, check here first, and do your research, cuz it's WAY worth it!!
