Comment: I am 100% satisfied with purchase of this product. It's ability to lock on to satellites while inside buildings and vehicles is amazing. It's tft display is very easy to see in daylight. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in purchasing a handheld gps receiver.

Comment: It would be nice if it came preloaded with more detailed city maps. I installed City Naviagor maps and used it recently on a trip to Florida. It worked well when I routed a trip although it doesn't give much advance warning for turns (beeps once to alert you that a turn is coming up,then twice at the turn--no voice prompt). It takes a little experience to use all its features but I'm learning. I like that I can take it on hikes, off road and still have the auto routing city feature, plus it has an electronic compass and altimeter.

Comment: using one word to describe the vista hcx: wow. this little piece of technology is amazing, it tracks routes is a fully functional odometer gives turn by turn directions, tells you your speed, elevation and current barometric pressure, works great as a compass, keeps time to within three nano-seconds, tells you when both sunrise ad sunset are, has games to keep the kids busy, a color screen that is also backlit, and basically does anything you could ask of it short of walking your dog. best of all it runs off two double a batteries and fits in your pocket. i got it originally for finding my way around while hiking but now use it for geocaching hiking and general navigation on the roads, by far the best unit ive ever bought.
