Summary: This gem works great Comment: I have hauled this unit to Hawaii and Europe. It works great. There are many capabilities in the GPS that I have to explore but accuracy and the transreflective display are amazing. Bright color outdoors even in daylight. I put a 2GB Micro SD in it and loaded the full 1.66 GB of North American maps. I still have 300MB for more stuff. The cost of Garmin maps is quite high and because they are propritary "according to them the assure quality" but really to assure "huge margin." There are tools that can extract tracks and other info from third parties that are available for reasonable prices. Mac support is poor, but if you have acces to a PC and Windows XP it easy to work with. 20 hour battery life is real. Lithium Energizers work very well.

Summary: Garmin GPSMap 60CSX Comment: I am very satisfied with this product. If you need a GPS that will pick up in thick woods, you need to get a GPSMap 60CSx. I have a Garmin eTrex legend that takes about 10-15 minute to get a lock on its position outside in the wide open, the GPSMap 60CSx will get a lock IN MY HOUSE in about 2-3 minutes, outside takes about 30 seconds usually. Great for caching, biking or hiking.

Summary: Garmin GPSMap 60CSx ROCKS! Comment: Wow! I previously had a Garmin GPSMap 60c which I thought was great. This one is even better. I have not yet lost a signal. The batteries last longer. The accumulated altitude is a great feature. Just an over all improvement over the previous model. Not a single post purchase regret.I use this GPS about twice a week and have yet to discover anything I don't like about it.

Summary: My first GPS Comment: This is my first GPS unit and I have no complaints about it. Very easy and simple to use. Excellent signal and operation under different weather conditions (following owner's manual suggestions). I combined it with the Garmin City Navigation Map of Mexico City and it works perfect. Also I use it for off-road activities and it is great as navigation tool, very complete information and data provided by it. If you are planning to buy it, let me suggest buy an additional micro SD card of a least 512 MB (2 GB would be great) to store in it all maps you want.

Summary: I LOVE THIS BABY Comment: I just recently purchased a 60CSx as my first GPS. So far, I am very impressed. My dad has the 60CS, and although they are very similar, the upgraded antenna and removable microSD are a huge plus. On average, I get 7-8 ft better accuracy, and definitely can use it in more places. So long as there are not more than two floors above me, or I am not in the middle of a building, the thing works flawlessly. Sitting on my couch at home using it, is something he cannot do. The microSD that comes with it is 64mb, but for a little extra money, bumping that up to a 1gb microSD/SD conversion card is more than I will need. If I wanted, I could put the whole USA City Navigator program on it, instead of select areas. I have not used it out in the woods yet because hunting season is over, however I do have loaded topo maps on it and have played with those options. Overall, I am very impressed with the ease of use, and the numerous functions available. The altimeter is a definite must. Kind of interesting watching that driving around, especially being in a mountainous state as I am. I would suggest this unit to anyone looking to get into the handheld gps world. Just as nice as a car navigator, but you can pick it up and walk through the woods with it as well. A+++++
