Summary: Nav-Mat is a great solution...
Comment: The Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat does solve the problem (for me) where I had an always-visible suction cup bracket when I parked my car. I also chose this because I didn't have a big area to place it (Altima between the instrument cluster and the storage compartment). It made it more convenient to stow the bracket out of view. It stays put for the most part, but if I hit a sizable bump, it will move a little bit. I use it with a Garmin StreetPilot which is heavier than the Nuvi, and I have a sloping dash.

Summary: Great Idea
Comment: Great product. Makes the problem of trying to attach your GPS to the windshield go away. Just place the pad on your dash, attach your GPS and drive away. Just make sure you dashboard is clean and free of dust and the bottom of the dash pad is clean and you will have no problem. The friction between the two makes for a very tight and secure fit. Highly recommended if you're always using your GPS. Works great with my Magellan 3100 and my Garvin nuvi 350.

Summary: solid, well made
Comment: Heavy, does the job.

If you don't want to advertise to the world that you have an expensive GPS inside your car - or don't want to stick it to the windshield - I would spend the $15 for this. My GPS sticks easily to the center; it's instant set up and put away. Mine does NOT slide around, and I have a rounded, uneven dash (which is one reason I made the purchase).

With so many cars being broken into these days to get GPS units, this is a no-brainer.

Summary: Worked Great!
Comment: We just took a 2,000 mile car trip/vacation and this simple little thing worked just great. We could pop the GPS unit on the dash to securely into the trunk in a flash. Even when we didn't use it, it held the GPS nice in the trunk. This lets you go from flashing you have a GPS in your car to totally secure and no "red flag" stuck to your windshield that you have valuables sitting here. Worked as manufacture said it would and never moved on us w/o lifting it. For working I do a House Watching service and this lets me go from location to location and making my life simple. Great Item!

Summary: Bracketron UFM-100BL GPS Friction Dash Pad
Comment: Works for us better supplied suction windshield mount. Does not leave telltale ring on windshield that seem to attract thieves.
